When skin is exposed to detergents, chemicals or harsh environmental conditions, the pH level can rise, leaving skin vulnerable to irritation and dryness. Soothes, Moisturizes & Visible Improves the Appearance of: • Skin irritated by soaps, detergents, chemicals and alkalis • Rough, dry, scaly skin May help maintain • The hydration and natural moisturizing factor of the stratum corneum • The pH balance of the skin Forms a protective barrier • To maintain skin health • Is a light, soothing cream formulated to help maintain a balanced skin pH level. • Is beneficial for soothing minor skin irritations and rough, dry, scaly skin. Usage Instructions: Apply several times daily, especially after wet work. Ingredients: Purified water, cetearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium cetearyl sulfate, petrolatum, glycerin, synthetic beeswax, mineral oil, methylparaben, aluminum sulfate, calcium acetate, white potato dextrin. Submit your review! - Jean Horton (5/29/2010) 35-40 years ago a dermatologist recommended Acid Mantle to me for my face. I`m now 68 and have used it twice a day for all of these years. I am frequently complimented on my complexion and/or my skin, and I do agree that it is smooth and clear. I have also been a tanner all of that time--the sun and tanning beds. The rest of my body shows sun damage, but my face doesn`t. I can`t prove it is because of Acid Mantle, but I have no other explanation. Pros: Everything! Cons: Nothing! - Stephanie Rodgers (5/12/2010) After trying many creams, lotions & ointments, this is the ONLY product that quickly (almost immediately) relieves the itching of my legs in the cold weather (winter skin). Pros: Not only is it fast acting, but it quickly soaks into my skin and does not feel greasy. Cons: It's not carried by RiteAid or CVS in my area anymore, so I can only purchase online. - Stephanie Rodgers (1/11/2010) Love, Love, NEED this cream! Pros: My husband & I get "winter skin". It almost immediately relieves the itch. For really bad itchy skin, it may take a little longer, but it soaks right into my skin, and it's not at all greasy. No other product out there works as well. Cons: My local Rite Aid and CVS stores cannot get it for me anymore. WHY? - K8 (1/4/2009) this stuff is great. Super pricey, but ask your pharmacist if they can order it for you, it`s cheaper than buying online.
